Claude Pierre, Sr.

CLAUDE PIERRE, SR. began his final rest on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Claude was born on January 11, 1942 to the late Pastor Louis Pierre and Bernice Tassin Pierre. He is preceded in death by his adored wife, Ella Mae Williams Pierre of which they shared 59 years of marriage. Claude began working at a very young age, first at the local grocery store in Luling delivering groceries, then as a butcher before transitioning to a job as a pipefitter/welder at Avondale. He then became a member of the Carpenters & Pile Drivers Local Union 1846 and retired from Boh Bros. Construction Company after 30+ years of service where he proudly worked supervising and working alongside welders in the Piling division. The virtues he lived by were God, Family and Integrity. Claude is survived by four children: Halaine Robinson (Todd), Claude Pierre, Jr., Alisha Pierre Nash (Ronald) and Gail Smith (Lincoln). He also leaves six grandchildren: Salonge Smith, Gabrielle Smith, Lincoln Chesed Smith, Jean-Claude Pierre, Kevin Robinson, Brodie Robinson; and four great-grandchildren: A’Kyi Smith, Laila Smith, Ryder Pierre and Gianna Narcisse. He is the brother of Florence Pierre Ewens (Caesar), Janet Pierre Williams (Theodore) Bernard Pierre (Angelica) Ethel Pierre Sandolph (Amos, Jr.) and the late Emily Pierre Scott (Bernard, Sr.), Percy (Alma), John (Dorothy) and Edward (Josie) Pierre, and Brother-in-law of Irma Clark (William), Johnny, Jr. (Mary) and Edmond (Edith) Williams, Dianne Hills, Leanester Frank, Doris Hill (Steve, Sr.), Annette Revader (Ricky), Wayannita Austin (Kevin, Sr.), and the late Lawrence (Celestin) and Earl Williams, and Emily White. Godson of Percy Pierre, Sr. and Emily Scott.  Godfather of Marshall Sandolph and proclaimed Godfather of John White, Sr.  Also survived by a host of other in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  A native of St. Charles Parish and resident of Boutte, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral at  The Church of Christ, 247 Barton Avenue, Luling, LA on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 12:00 PM.  Emmett Collins, Officiating.  Interment at Mt Airy Memorial Park Cemetery, Boutte, LA. Visitation at the above-named church from 10:00 AM until service time.  In accordance with the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 mask are suggested for all in attendance.  Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
