On February 22, 2026, Clarence (Tiger) Brooks, Jr. life’s purpose was fulfilled, and the journey was completed at the young age of 35. He peacefully entered eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with his mother and aunt beside him as he departed his earthly home. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.


Clarence (Tiger) Brooks, Jr. journey began on June 14, 1990. He was the beloved sone of Antoinette M. Cotton and the late Clarence Brooks, Sr. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior according to his faith. Clarence was baptized at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Florida, where he confessed his belief in the Lord Jesus Christ, believed in his heart that God raised from the dead and became saved. (Romans 10:9)


Clarence lived in Jacksonville for 14 years and relocated back to Louisiana with family and graduated West St. John High School in 2008 in Edgard, LA


Clarence was working for Legacy GMC in Harvey, LA as a License Mechanic at the time of his passing. Clarence loved spending time with his family and son (Brylee Brooks), which was everything to him, his smile will be truly missed, that smile lit up the room as he walked through that door for family events which spoke volume. Clarence pride was his one and only beloved son which he leaves and forever cherished, he spread so much love to Brylee.


Clarence leaves to forever cherish the love that he spread to everyone, his loving mother, Antoinette Cotton, son Brylee Brooks (3). Siblings, Keriyawno Jackson, Teisha Joseph and Clarence Hitchens. Clarence will be leaving 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Grandson of Bonnie Stevenson (Donald), devoted aunt Michelle Colbert (Graylin), Verna Eugene (Tyrone) and Tammy Dukes (Leonard) and Uncle Corey Cotton (Raquen), 2 bonus brothers and sister Travalin and Diamond Colbert and devoted friend Crystal Burtons, also a host of devoted family and friends. Clarence was escorted to the gates of heaven by his father Clarence Brooks, Sr., grandparents Joseph Booker T Cotton, Burnell Brooks, Grandmother Dora Brooks, one message Clarence would leave with everyone is to increase your time with family and God. He will Truly be missed by his mother, son sister grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins.


Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, officers and members of Riverlands Christian Center Church and all neighboring Churches are invited to the Celebration of Life Services at 10:00am on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Historic Riverlands Christian Center, 123 Redemption Way, Reserve, LA 70084. Visitation will begin at 9:00am until the time of service at the above-named Church. Interment St. John Memorial Garden, 2205 W. Airline Hwy, Laplace, LA 70068.
