In loving memory of Christopher Anthony Mitchell born March 4,1986 to the late Nina Mitchell and Willie Strickland. A resident of Killona, LA at the age of 40 on May 24, 2026,Chirstopher transitioned into his eternal rest. Christopher affectionately known as “Brotha” was a dedicated father, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend. He was surrounded by the gift oflove with his siblings Audrey, Steven, Olivia, and the late Willie Mitchell. Christopher accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, He was baptized on June 12, 2001, at HistoricBethlehem Baptist Church in Hahnville, LA under the leadership of Rev. Rodney L. Johnson Sr. Christopher found joy in providing for his family, working hard at his job,and helping others. His goal was to have his own car wash business. Christopher was the life of the party, everyone loved him. Among his special traits, Christopher loved his kids and was becoming a better man for them. He loved his siblings, didn’t play about them and he would let anyone know it. Family was everything, he loved a good party, family function and made anyone that came around laugh. He clowned and fussed but it was all love being around him.
In his community, Christopher was known for his love, generosity, and mouth. Real fun, loving, cool guy that everyone will truly miss. He made countless contributions as afather, brother, and friend leaving a lasting impact on all that had a pleasure of knowing him. He will forever be remembered for his kind and gentle nature just being him.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, 3 children Christaun and Anielah Mitchell, and Cayden Cannon. Siblings Audrey, Steven, and Olivia Mitchell. 7 Aunts Marsheila Smith,Kathleen Rainey, Oliska Mitchell, Jennifer Johnson, Judy Bowser, Marvell and Charvell Stewart. 9 Uncles Irvin Mitchell Jr, Ernest Mitchell, Alvin Mitchell, Brett Mitchell, Wardell,Lionel and Roland Strickland, Ronald and Brian Stewart. 6 nieces, 4 nephews, 7 great uncles, 6 great aunts. God parents Kathleen and Glenn Rainey other relatives and friends.
Christopher known as “Brotha” has now reunited in death with his parents Nina Mitchell and Willie Strickland, His big brother Willie Mitchell. Grandparents Audrey Mae, andIrvin Mitchell Sr., Freddie Mae and Joe Stewart. Gone from our presence but his memory lives on forever in the hearts of those who loved him dearly and had a way of making everyone around him smile. Though he joked and fussed from time to time, it was always done with love.
Through his love as a father, brother, and friend, he left a lasting impression on many and will always be remembered for simply being himself.
Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, officers and members of Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church and all neighboring Churches are invited to the Celebration of Life Services at 11:00am on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church 14869 River Rd, Hahnville, LA 70057. Rev. Rodney L. Johnson, Sr., Pastor-Officiant. Visitation 9:00am until the time of service at the above-named Church. Interment Bethlehem Cemetery, Smith Street, Hahnville, LA 70057.
