Cheri Carter

1960 - 2024

Cheri Carter departed her earthly life on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10:01pm, age 64.  She was born on February 12,1960 to the late Willie and Marguerite Carter.  She was a native of Algiers/Cut Off and a resident of Orange, Texas.  Cheri was educated in the Orleans Public School System. 

She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved sons: Ronald, Rondell, and  Ronnie Carter; loving daughters: Rhondalynn Carter, Waynesha and Whitney Waxter; grandchildren: Jerquis Beasley, Ronald, Rontrae, and Journee Carter; 1 great grandchild: Londyn Carter; sisters: Charmaine, Shawn, and Nicole Carter; brothers: Elliott, Everett (Patrice), Noel, Derrick (Sonya), and Darian Carter; and Dion Charles; devoted friend: Howard Waxter; aunts: Ruby Carter, Emily Anderson, and Sylvia Charles; caring cousin: Norma Jean Henry; a host of loyal cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Cheri was preceded in death by her parents; Willie and Marguerite Carter; son: Rontrae Carter; sister: Charlene Carter; nephews: Bobby and JaCorey Carter; and her grandparents

 Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers and members of Second Baptist Church, Second Nazarene Baptist Church, New Hope Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 9:30 am on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L. B. Landry Ave., New Orleans, LA., Pastor Jamaal Weathersby of New Hope Baptist Church, Officiating  and Bishop J. Brown, Host Pastor. Visitation will begin at 8:00am until service time at the above-named church.  Interment Friends of Charity Cemetery, Algiers,LA.  Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
