Charles Rayfield, Sr.

1953 - 2026

Charles Rayfield, Sr., who was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, departed this life on Saturday, March 28, 2026. He was the son of the late Victor Rayfield Jr. and Florence Jordan Rayfield. Born on December 28, 1953, he was a native of Reserve, LA., and resided in New Orleans, LA., until his passing at the age of 72.

He is survived by: his two children: Danita and Charles Rayfield, Jr.; four siblings, Victor Rayfield III of Los Angeles, CA., Donna R. Jackson of Reserve, LA, Clayton (Stella) Rayfield of Avondale, LA., and Caldonia (Rev. Kevin) Fredericks, Sr., of LaPlace, LA.; two aunts, Pauline Edwards and Denise Joseph; another sister-in-law, Robin Rayfield; six grandchildren, Deion Rayfield Sr., Kayla & Kyla Adams, Charles Rayfield III, Kyron and Kennedy Rayfield; two great-grandchildren, Dominick and Deion Rayfield, Jr., and one in the oven. He will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, other cousins, relatives and devoted friends.

All Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and members of Israelite Baptist Church are all surrounding Churches are invited to the Celebration of Life Services at 11:00am on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Israelite Baptist Church, 2192 Alexander Street, Lutcher, LA 70071.  Pastor Kevin B. Fredericks, Sr.-Officiant.  Visitation 9:00am until the time of service at the above-named Church.  Interment Southeast Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA.  Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
