Cassandra Erica Lynn Harris

Cassandra Erica Lynn Harris, resident of Kilona, Louisiana, transitioned to her Heavenly home on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Ochsner Medical Center in Luling, LA. Cassandra was born on May 9, 1964, to the late William and Victoria Harris of Boutte, Louisiana. Cassandra was baptized at an early age by the late Reverend John R. Dorsey. She graduated from Hahnville High School.

Cassandra leaves to cherish her precious moments: three daughters Mtisa (Joseph III) Comminie, Patricia, and Aliasha Harris. Seven siblings: Reginald, Robin, and Tiona Harris, Gail Thompson, Velvet (Glenn) Davis, Abonda (Cornell) Keller, and Nathaniel (Bridgett) Harris. Eleven grandchildren: Danasha, Sanya, Semaj, and Daryl Harris, Syan and Randall Clark III, Jeremiah Comminie, Jordan Martin, Latrell Hutchison Jr., Racheem Landry Jr., and Kevin Cary. She also leaves four great grandchildren and one godson Dominque Engham. Also, a host of aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.

Cassandra was employed at Payne Home Health Care. Her favorite past time was spending quality time with her family and friends. She also loved spending time at the Fairgrounds. Cassandra was one of a kind. She was selfless with a genuine heart; Cassandra was always willing to lend a hand, and kind word, to those in need. She loved everybody equally and wholeheartedly.

She is preceded in death by her parents the late William and Victoria Harris. Son Darrell Harris, sister Lillian D. Harris, nephews Allen Harris, Tyler Harris, and Cleveland Thompson, grandparents maternal Jesse and Ressie Ingram, paternal also Richard and Louise Harris.  Cassandra will be deeply missed by all who knew and adored her.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of St. Peters Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at St. Peters Baptist Church, 200 W. 3rd Street, Edgard, LA. 70049. Rev. Joseph Comminie, Jr.-Pastor. In accordance with the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 mask are suggested for all in attendance. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment Mt.
