Calvin Kenner, Jr.

Calvin “Juny” Kenner, Jr. was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was born in New Orleans, LA. on January 15, 1953 to the union of Calvin, Sr. and Vivian Lane Kenner. He grew up in Norco, LA. and ultimately made his home in Destrehan, LA. for over 40 years. Calvin departed this earthly life on October 27, 2024.

Calvin attended Bethune High School in Norco and ultimately graduated from Leon Godchaux High School in Reserve, LA. after spending some time also at Destrehan High School. He was a long-time employee of Shell Oil Refinery (Motiva) until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents Calvin Sr. and Vivian Kenner and his siblings Cheryl Perrilloux and Joseph Kenner. 

He is survived by his wife Oritha Zeringue Kenner; His children: Orenthal (Trenice), Shaunti, Qwaman (Allyson) and Hydeia Kenner. His grandchildren: Korian Reynaud, Sr. (Makayla), Oren Kenner (Tiana), Jaheim Kenner (Meshia), Malik Jefferson; Rayanna, Raymon, Raheem, Raymond and Rayven Pratt. His siblings: Mona Watkins (Warren), Beverly Kenner-Robertson (Alfred), Tinga Kenner, Shawn Kenner, Anthony Kenner, Sr. (Terry), Stephen "Chinn" Kenner, and Amos Kenner, Sr. His sister-in-law: Gloria Evans; His Godchildren: Tyrell Rue and Vivian Kenner. Also, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

Relatives and friends of the family,Pastors, Officers, and Members of New Wine Christian Fellowship of Laplace, LA. and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Services on Saturday November 9, 2024, at 10:00 am at New Wine Christian Fellowship, 1929 West Airline Highway, Laplace, LA. Pastor Neil Bernard, officiating. Visitation will be at the above-named church from 8:00 am until service time. There will be NO viewing after the services. Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
