Buddy Charles Jones Jr., affectionally known as "Lil Buddy" was born July 17, 1970 to the union of Kathy Tassin & Buddy C. Jones Sr.  Buddy was blessed to be affectionately reared by Wanda Batiste & Carol Holland.

Buddy was educated in the  St. John the Baptist Parish Public  School System. His favorite past time was shooting pool, hanging out with friends and family, and enjoying a good cookout.  He was employed by the Crystal Hot Sauce Company in Reserve, LA.  Buddy married the love of his life Debbie G. Cook, although there were no biological children from this union the love and affection toward their nieces and nephews filled their hearts completely.

Buddy departed this life on Sunday September 11, 2022 making a peaceful transition in his sleep.   He was preceded in death by his mother Kathy Jones, his beloved wife Debbie G. Cook, sisters-Leslie Jones & Libby Anderson, Aunt-Delores Farlough, Uncles - Henry Jones Jr. & Bobby Jones.  Grandparents - Shirleen & Ernest Tassin, Mildred & Henry Jones Sr., - Great grandparents -Everage & Magary Tuircuit Sr., Cousins - Shannon Tassin Jr., & Dedrick Tuircuit.

Left to cherish his fond memories are His father -Buddy (Zina) Jones Sr., his sister's- Ishondra Jones, Nasha (Joseph) Murry, Danielle (John) Pembrook. His brother's - Aaron (Arniece) Jones, Theron (Lila) Jones, Brandon (Chelette) Jones, Courtney (Keisha) Jones & Darrin Batiste. Niece- A'moni (Antonio) Denson, Nephew's Toi Jones & Ja'hon (Nadia) Jones. Mother-in-law - Barbara Cook - Sister-in-law - JoAnn (Preston) Cook & Roshelle (Sean) Cook, Aunt's- Margery Wilkens, Cabrina Tassin, Jessie Thomas, Judy Jones & Joyce Clark, Uncles-Andrew Tuircuit, Elston Tassin, Gayland Jones Jr. & Richard Jones.  Brother-in-law - Joseph (April) Cook.  Dedicated Cousins: Grace Chambers, Kawanda Jones, Daphine Woodly, Renita & Kendra Bovie, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Truly, Lil June will be greatly missed by his family, friends and co-workers. We will continue to thank God for having him in our lives....

Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 10:00am at The Patrick H. Sanders Funeral Home, 605 Main Street, LaPlace, LA  70068.  In accordance with the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 all in attendance must wear a mask and practice social distancing.  Visitation 9:00am until time of service.  Interment will be private.  Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
