Apostle Cecile Williams Obituary

 Apostle Cecile Martin Williams was born to the late Raleigh and Theresa Martin on December 19, 1939. Apostle Cecile received Jesus Christ in her life at the age of 9 years old and was baptized by Rev. Dell Parker at Greater Good Hope Baptist Church. Apostle Cecile was educated in the St. Charles Parish Public Schools Systems. She later attended New Orleans Medical Technical School, where she earned her certification as a Medical Assistant in 1975. Apostle Cecile retired as a Laboratory Technician Assistant from Ochsner Foundation Hospital Satellite Clinic in 1992. Apostle Cecile Williams attended Koinonia Bible College, receiving her certification as a Therapon Belief Therapist in August 2003. Apostle Cecile was a native of Norco and a resident of Destrehan, LA.

 Apostle Cecile was married to the late Deacon Norman Williams Sr. to this union they reared three wonderful children. Norman, Jr., Melanie Williams, and Melinda Johnson.

 Apostle Cecile was licensed and ordained to preach the gospel on August 13, 1993, by Apostle Clarence Vinnett at Solid Rock Christian Fellowship. On January 11, 2009, Apostle Cecile was ordained to the office of Apostle.

Apostle Cecile was the Founder and President of Christian Women Worldwide United Outreach Ministries and Kingdom Builders Outreach Ministries, which deals with hurting women. She paved a way for many women to go forth in ministry. This year of 2022 would have been her 36th year as President over the Women’s Ministry for the Good News Holy Convocation. She did all these works until her health declined. Her greatest desire was to bring spiritual, mental, and physical healing to the Body of Christ. Always having a heart for people, she loved the Lord. She was called home on Saturday April 23, 2022, surrounded by her family.

 She leaves to cherish her precious memories One son Norman Williams Jr. (Pauline), Melanie Williams, and Melinda Johnson. A spiritual son, Ernest “Ben” Holland, a spiritual daughter Prophetess Lucretia Scott. Three brothers James (Monique), Robert (Geneva), and Pornell (Sheila) Martin. 10 grandchildren – Ivan, Norman III, Nyron, Arriyone, Arrishisha, Janae’, Mia, Kori, Jalen, and Maya, Two brother-in-laws Johnny Smith and Ashberry Johnson. 14 great grandchildren, Faithful Friend Pastor Effie Moore, and a abundance of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Apostle Cecile is preceded in death by her husband Norman Williams Sr., her parents Raleigh and Theresa Martin, one Sister, MaryAnn Smith, and one Sister-in-law Carolyn Johnson.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Greater Good Hope Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11:00 am, Greater Good Hope Baptist Church, 47 Cathy Street, Norco, LA  70079. All in attendance must comply with the CDC guidelines for COVID-19. Visitation at the above-named church  10:00 am until time of service. Interment Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose, LA. Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H. Sanders Funeral Home & Funeral Directors, Inc. 605 Main Street, LaPlace, LA  70068.
