Anedra Rae Boudoin, affectionately known as “Chookie” by those close to her, was born on October 1, 1976 to Nicholas Boudoin Sr. and Anna Lee Roberts-Boudoin. She was an amazing and devoted mother to Taylor Marie and Tarah Nichol Boudoin. She was also the loving and caring aunt to KiJuan Michelle Mitt and Nikeo Nichelle Brown-Lewis. Anedra was also the godmother to Camden Lewis and Wynter Pierre. She was the niece to her uncles, Wayne (Linda) Boudoin and the late Michael (Sheila) Boudoin Sr., Clinton (late Marva) Roberts Jr., and Sylvester Roberts; her aunts Thelma (late Alton Sr.) Burrell, Melanie (Michael) Cox, Emily (Raymond) Bernard, and Ora Lee (late Felix) Whittington. Anedra was also survived by her godparents, Yvonne Davis and Rupert Dinvaut.

She was an employee for Ochsner Health and would have made 10 years with the company in April 2023. In her extra time, she loved everything: baking, crafts, decor, and so much more. Her skills and talent have helped her to create some beautiful masterpieces. She was a devoted member in the Catholic church, with a good heart and helping hand. She would offer to help as long as she was able to. She was a native of Lucy, LA. In her adolescent years, she was a member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church and served as an altar server as a teenager. In 1994, she graduated from West Saint John High School and soon after attended the Stevenson Academy where she earned her cosmetology license. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville, LA for the past 25 years. Chookie was preceded in death by her brother, Nicholas “Nutchie” Boudoin Jr. (who she missed dearly since his untimely passing), grandparents, Olga and Lyn Boudoin Sr., and Clinton and Leana Roberts, among other relatives and friends that have passed on to be with the Lord. On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, Jesus called Chookie home at the young age of 46. She will be greatly missed by her parents, children, nieces, and all those who knew and loved her throughout her life. She will live on in our hearts FOREVER.

Relatives and friends of the family, also priests and parishioners of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2349 Highway 18 (River Road), Edgard, LA on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 10:00 am. Rev. Robustiano Morgia, Celebrant. Interment St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Edgard, LA. Visitation at the above named church from 8:00 am until time of Mass.
