I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, and I have kept the faith.
Finally, there is laid up for me this crown of righteousness,
which the lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day,
and not to me only but also to all who have loved his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
Allen (Smoke) Sanders, Jr. found comfort and transitioned peacefully on Tuesday April 30, 2024 at Ochsner Medical Center, Jefferson, LA at the age of 48 surrounded by his loving devoted wife Tryneisha and his loving children Allen, Allente, Allentre, Tijanae, Tijai, and DaJanae.
Allen was born to the late Mary Emma Rixner and Allen Sanders, Sr. on September 09, 1975. He was educated in the St. John Parish School System. He devoted his life to Christ when he was baptized at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Garyville, LA.
Allen was a native of Reserve, LA and was a lifelong resident of LaPlace, LA and he will sadly be missed. He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife Tryneisha W. Sanders, his six children: Allen Williams, Allente Williams, Tija Williams, Tijanae Williams, Allentre Sanders and Da’Janae Gatilin, a grandson Casen Washington, Father Allen sanders Sr. and Father-in-Law Wayne Johnson, brothers Donovan, Anthony, Darnell, and Kendell. Brother in laws Terrel (Katherine), Roland (Keoka), Jermaine, Dwayne, Allen (Detrina), Wayne Johnson, Kendal Washington. Sister-in-laws Catina, Kovonda, Eosha, Quiana, Antranell, Danyella, Shelly, Melinda, and Latasha. Along with special family and friends that will also cherish his memories: Dayshawn Cayold Sr., Karone Wilkens, Kendrick Sentimore, Dequincy Stemley, Carnell Francois, Christopher Williams, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church Family.
He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather Mary and Hayward Rixner and his mother-in-law Carolyn W. Hutchinson, grandparents Thomas and Lorraine Williams, and Henry and Emma Sanders.
Relatives and friends of the family, Pastor, Officers and Member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to a Celebration of Life Service at 10:00am on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 132 Marquez Street, Mt. Airy, LA 70051. Elder Oscar R. Nelson, Sr.-Pastor and Officiant. Visitation 8:00am until time of service at the above-named church. Interment St. John Memorial Gardens, 2205 W. Airline Hwy, Laplace, LA 70068. There will also be a visitation on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at the Patrick H. Sanders Funeral Home, 605 Main Street, Laplace, LA 70068.
