Alanna Y. French

Alanna Y. French, a spirited soul born on December 9, 1969, in Lutcher, LA, passed away on December 10, 2024. Preceded in death by her loving parents, Albert and Olivia French, and her dear sister, Anita K. Pierre, Alanna leaves behind a legacy of strength, independence, and a deep love for horses.

A true tomboy at heart, Alanna possessed a remarkable ability to fix or repair anything, often without the need for instructions. Her passion for horses was evident in her every action, and she shared this love with many.

After graduating from East St. John High School in 1987, Alanna continued to pursue her passion for horses, riding and showing them until her health declined. She was a skilled rider, winning numerous awards for her barrel racing and keyhole skills. She shared her love of horses with her son, inspiring a new generation of equestrians.

Alanna is survived by her cherished son, Alvin “Trey” Zeringue III, and her sisters, Suzanne (Anthony) Pruitt of Douglasville, GA, and Evelyn T. French of Prairieville, LA. She will be dearly missed by her nephews: Grant M. Pierre, Donavan (Nadine) Pierre, Mark (Phyllicia) Pierre, Lance (LaKeria) French, Ashton (Stacey) Pierre, Alonzo Patterson Sr, Jeremy Pierre, and Kevaughn Marshall. She is also survived by her Godmother, Dianna L. Porche, her best friends Joely Washington and Linda Clement Waguespack, and a host of great nieces and nephews, friends, and relatives.

May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Patrick H. Sanders Funeral Home, 605 Main Street, Laplace, LA 70068.  Minister Darcel Anderson-Officiating.  Visitation 10:00 am until the time of service at the above-named Funeral Home.  Interment will be private.  Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
