Gail Ann "Honey" Sullen Wilson Langford
Gail Ann "Honey" Sullen Wilson Langford, born August 25, 1952, to the union of the late Herbert Sullen, Sr. and Rebecca Lewis Sullen. She was the wife of Willie Langford, her second marriage and wife of the late Frank Wilson Jr, first marriage. On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Honey was called home by her Heavenly Father.
Gail was a 1970 graduate of Lord Beaconsfield Landry High School. Honey began her trade journey at Moler Beauty College, Gretna Ceramics, and Jean Flora School where she graciously blessed her family and friends with her talents. Gail’s long-term career as an educator extended from Belle Chasse State School, New Orleans Adolescent Hospital and later retiring from Bridge City Youth Detention Center.
Gail accepted Christ as her personal savior, at a very young age. She was baptized by the late, Rev. Dr. Earl Green at Second Baptist Church in Algiers.
Honey leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving and devoted husband Willie Langford, her loving and caring children, Gregory, Frank (Tiffany) Wilson, III, Schabandol W. (Kirk) Johnson, Yashica W. Joseph, Quran W. (Steven) Whittington, Three stepsons Cornell Wright, Lloyd and Carlton Langford, and one stepdaughter Laura Abbott Smith. Her siblings Beverlyn S. Manuel, Kermit (Beverly) and Condell (Mercelyn) Sullen, Enola S. (Eddie)Rose, Schelander S. Phoenix, and Bernadette S. Johnson, one Great Aunt Gloria R. Cornin, and one Uncle Robert Lewis, Jr., her grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Honey was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Rebecca L. Sullen, her daughter Bashama Wilson, Two brothers Herbert, Jr., (Marilyn) and Chester Sullen, five brothers-in-law, and six sisters-in-law.
Age, 73, a Native of Algiers (Cutoff Community) and a Resident of Avondale, LA.
Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers, and members of Bible Way Baptist Church, Second St. John Baptist Church, Second Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches, Employees of Belle Chasse State School, New Orleans Adolescent Hospital, Bridge City Youth Detention Center, Graduates of L.B. Landry Class of 1970, and the Algiers and Avondale Communities -At-Large are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11:00am at L. B. Landry High School,1200 L.B. Landry Ave Algiers, LA 70114. Pastor Chance Brown, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until service time at the above-named location. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, 3450 US-90, Avondale, LA 70094. Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
